That’s not some motivational quote.
That’s a reality I had to learn the hard way.
When I first got into building my business back in 2021, everything felt like pressure.
Every day was:
“I need to make more money.”
“I need more clients.”
“I should be further ahead.”
There was always something missing.
And I told myself…
“I’ll relax when I hit X.”
“I’ll feel good when I’m making Y.”
“I’ll enjoy my life when this finally works.”
But what actually happened?
I built momentum.
I made progress.
I started getting wins.
…and I still felt like shit.
Because I never learned how to feel good during the process.
I only trained myself to chase.
So even when I had what I once wanted…
My brain immediately moved the goalpost.
More money.
More validation.
More proof.
No arrival.
Just more pressure.
And this didn’t just show up in business at that time, too.
It showed up hard in my dating life.
I’d go out, talk to women, put myself in the game…
But the whole time there was this underlying energy of:
“I need this to work.”
“I need her to like me.”
“I need this interaction to go somewhere.”
That energy?
It kills everything.
Not because you’re not “good enough.”
But because you’re not even enjoying yourself in the moment.
You’re trying to extract a result instead of actually being there.
Women can feel that instantly.
Just like people can feel it in your business.
Clients. Followers. Leads.
They can feel when you’re tight.
When you’re forcing it.
When you’re trying to get something instead of expressing something.
The shift for me was simple, but not easy:
I stopped making my current reality “not enough.”
I stopped treating the present version of me like a problem that needed to be fixed before I could feel good.
I started letting myself enjoy:
The process of building.
The conversations with women.
The small wins.
Even the awkward moments.
And ironically…
That’s when everything started to open up.
Not because I “tricked the universe.”
But because my energy changed.
I wasn’t chasing from lack anymore.
I was moving from a place of:
“I like who I am right now… and I’m building on top of that.”
That’s a completely different man.
In business.
In dating.
In life.
You don’t need to kill your ambition.
You don’t need to slow down your drive.
You just need to stop tying your ability to feel good…
to some future version of you that doesn’t even exist yet.
Because if you can’t respect and enjoy who you are on the way up…
You won’t magically start when you get there.
You’ll just be a more successful version of the same guy…
still chasing, still unsatisfied, still thinking the next thing will fix it.
Build.
Be driven.
Go get everything you want.
But learn how to actually enjoy being you in the process.
That’s the part that changes everything.
