Lately, I’ve been reminded of something powerful:
Most men aren’t out of alignment… they’re just out of rhythm.
We’ve been conditioned since childhood to rush from one milestone to the next:
Get good grades → get into college → get the job → get the girl → get the house.
And when we finally “get there,” we feel anxious, disconnected, and burned out.
Because deep down, we never stopped to ask, whose timeline am I even following?
A few weeks ago, I experienced back-to-back hits: a death in the family and some brutal flare-ups with my health.
Old me would’ve forced myself to “stay on track.”
This version of me knew better.
Life wasn’t punishing me; it was recalibrating me.
I started realizing that the greatest leaders, thinkers, and creators I admire all have one thing in common:
They trust their own rhythm.
They don’t wake up at the same time every day because a YouTube guru said so.
They don’t grind themselves into the ground to “deserve” abundance.
They move when their energy tells them to move.
That’s not laziness.
That’s intelligence.
Here’s what I’ve learned and what I want you to reflect on today:
- Every “setback” is an invitation to slow down and listen.
- Comparison is the enemy of confidence. You’re not behind, you’re just out of sync.
- Relaxation isn’t inaction. It’s what allows your natural power to flow.
- Fear, shame, and guilt keep you in survival mode; self-trust brings you into creation mode.
When you understand this, life stops feeling like a constant fight.
You stop trying to force results and start becoming the man who attracts them naturally.
Much love,
Shawn “Sheshn” Heshmatpour
