Lately, I’ve realized a big part of self-mastery is this:
Learning to enjoy the process through detachment while still being honest about what you desire.
Money. Status. Your dream physique. A woman who excites your soul.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting those things.
But the moment you grip them too tightly… You create suffering.
Desire alone isn’t the problem. Attachment is.
As Buddhism teaches, attachment is the root of suffering.
And in the modern world?
It’s the hidden weight behind most of your anxiety, burnout, and overthinking.
When you cling to an outcome, you:
– Take things personally
– Make failures mean something about your worth
– Start performing instead of expressing
– Strain your nervous system trying to “earn” love or success
You forget this is all a game.
A beautiful, sacred, sometimes brutal but still playful game.
You’ve got to approach life like a scientist in the lab or a warrior sharpening his sword.
Experiment. Refine. Detach. Repeat.
Gamify the journey.
Your career.
Your business.
Your body.
Your dating life.
None of it defines you.
But all of it can refine you.
So chase the outcome, but don’t worship it.
Desire it, but don’t collapse if it slips through your hands.
The more you relax your grip… The more you can flow with power, peace, and presence.
That’s real freedom. That’s how you win the game.
That’s the energy that builds empires and relationships that last.
Much love,
